Metropolitan Glicherie (1891–1985)—Glorified as a Saint in June of 1999 by the True (Old Calendar) Orthodox Church of Romania—was a pivotal figure among the Romanian Old Calendarists.

Having known him personally for many years, Metropolitan Vlasie provides a firsthand portrait of a heroic struggler for True Orthodoxy who was miraculously saved from death by the Mother of God.
