I usually buy the lighting tapers from Holy CrossMonaster but they are not accepting new ordersso I decided to buy these instead. These cut the mustard but there is one small annoyance. The string is too thin and the wax is too thick and this causes the taper to drop little drops of beeswax into your lamp. If the string was thicker and the wa thinner there would be no wax drops.

This taper is perfect for lighting higher oil lamps and for transferring light between higher and lower lamps. It is slim yet sturdy; overall the perfect tool for the job. Do not hesitate to try these lighting tapers. They add a special grace to our prayer corner.

We love these candles. We cut them in half or thirds and light them for prayer. We also use them to light charcoal for incense. They are wonderful!
